Chris the Decorator
The Mezzanine
The quiet level overlooking the main floors, where design plans are mapped out, blueprints are reviewed, and the final details are settled.
Chris the Decorator is an inside joke because Chris is actually an anesthesiologist. Years ago during a massive design renovation at our own property, my husband Dr. Christopher Miller tried to source luxury European furniture, lighting and finishes. He started with the famous legacy brands but hit a wall of red tape, long production timelines and staggering shipping invoices. Worse, he discovered many storied European houses quietly manufactured their pieces in Asia while charging premium European prices.
That did not sit right with us. Chris applied his focus to track down the actual factories behind the finished goods, building direct relationships with artisans and independent manufacturers capable of true luxury craftsmanship.
That is where I came in. As a pioneer of the dot com era, I founded FineGardenProducts.com back in 1998. Long before modern ecommerce platforms existed, I revolutionized the drop shipping industry and perfected how to move beautiful, heavy goods across the globe offering free shipping and returns when most people were still afraid to buy online.
We put our combined experience to the ultimate test when we designed and launched The Tugboat Resort. Located right here in Orlando, our boutique micro resort serves as the living, breathing showroom for everything we do. Every custom tile, light fixture and piece of furniture was sourced through the network Chris and I built. Guests can experience the quality in person and even book a stay at The TugboatResort.com to see the design firsthand. Become a subscribed member and book your stay and Chris the Decorator will personally consult with you in ordering and getting any of your commercial or residential design projects finalized.
Beyond our own resort, Chris has been trusted to source exceptional finishes for notable commercial and residential projects across Florida. Our curated pieces can be found in exclusive venues like The Chapman restaurant and the upcoming Paradox restaurant in Winter Park, the renowned Jazz Club in Dr. Phillips, the Winter Park OZK Bank, and the Fort Pierce BMW dealership. We have also had the privilege of sourcing for landmark private estates, including the historic Bonnie Burns residence in Winter Park.
I created Chris the Decorator to be a designer department store. It is a curated destination where the exact sources we cultivated live under one roof, giving you direct access to fully custom luxury furniture, lighting, fireplaces, stone goods, mosaics and painted chinoiserie wallcoverings at a fraction of traditional design house costs.
Orlando, FL
The Mezzanine is where the true collaboration happens. In a traditional grand department store, this is the quiet level overlooking the main floors where serious design plans are mapped out, blueprints are reviewed, and the final details are settled. Once your project vision is established here, we take those concepts down to each individual floor to select your custom stone, lighting, and furniture.
To provide the ultimate support for your home styling or trade projects, we offer an exclusive annual membership for $249 a year.
As a member of the Mezzanine level, you receive:

Whether you are designing your private residence or managing large scale interior design trade projects, the Mezzanine membership gives you the tools, the time, and the infrastructure to bring your vision to life.
Based on current market data, the $249 annual fee is not just priced right — it is an incredible, aggressive value that will easily convert serious buyers and trade professionals. Here is how your membership stacks up against the market:
The Industry Standard: RH (Restoration Hardware)
The biggest comparable in the luxury furniture space is the RH Members Program. Their cost: $200 per year. The catch: it gives a discount on items, but it does not include free shipping — members still have to pay hundreds of dollars in freight delivery fees for every large order.
Your Advantage: For just $49 more a year, you are offering free shipping on heavy, luxury goods, which completely undercuts the biggest pain point of shopping at legacy design houses.
The Value of Freight Shipping
Shipping custom furniture and stone goods is notoriously expensive. According to 2026 freight logistics data, shipping a single sofa or dining set via standard LTL freight typically costs between $280 and $480, plus an additional $265 to $410 if it requires residential delivery or a liftgate. Shipping heavier items like stone bathtubs or large mosaics across the country can easily push past $1,000 per shipment.
Your Advantage: Because your $249 membership covers shipping on every order for a year, the membership literally pays for itself on the customer's very first purchase.
The Value of the Design Consultation
The national average billing rate for an established, senior interior designer ranges from $100 to $250+ per hour depending on the market.
Your Advantage: You are including 120 minutes (2 hours) of dedicated consultation with Chris. That perk alone holds a real-world market value of roughly $300 to $500. Add in the exclusivity of booking an immersive trip to Tugboat Resort, and you are offering a high-touch concierge service that major retailers cannot replicate.
At $249, you are underpricing the actual value of what you are giving away, but that is exactly why it is a brilliant strategy. It is priced as a "no-brainer." Any customer or trade professional looking at a $5,000 custom sofa or a heavy stone mantel will instantly buy the $249 membership just to secure the free shipping, locking them into your ecosystem for the entire year.

How it works at checkout: On the product checkout page, you'll be offered the choice to pay the standard shipping fee, or subscribe to the Mezzanine membership, which includes free shipping.
Once you're signed in as a Mezzanine member, no shipping charges will be calculated at checkout for the life of your membership. If your annual subscription is not renewed and it expires, shipping charges will resume on future orders. The Mezzanine subscription renews automatically each year.
